I didn't grow up in Vermont, but I grew up in a Vermont state of mind. Living within sight of the Green Mountains, I identify more with the Vermonter mentality than anyone who lived their youth south of Albany. I too grew up with covered bridges, maple sugar shacks, and untamed forests waiting to be explored. This state of mind hearkens back to a simpler time.
Vermont Country Store amplifies this vision of wholesome, old-fashioned goodness. From licorice pipes, to forgotten perfumes, to reel mowers, if your grandparents had it, they sell it. But now I need to rework that image in my mind a bit.
Vermont Country Store now sells 'marital aids'.
