I spent Easter with my in-laws and their extended family, and the Easter bunny came to visit, which is rather strange since it is an imaginary entity. When I said that we don't do the Easter bunny I was asked, "But Tantalus, weren't you raised catholic?". Yes, and so what? I don't see what being raised catholic has to do with a six-foot tall plushie running around, dumping chocolate and presents on children and generally undermining the most holy day in Christendom. I feel the same way about Santa Claus too, but I didn't want to give everyone there a heart attack. Not to mention that I don't even celebrate Easter (or Christmas, except in the secular sense).
But no matter, it seems that the union of hyperactive milk-chocolate goodness and Jesus' resurrection is complete.
