Janak is studying the role of amygdalal neurons in motivation and reinforcement.

These Quebec researchers are using PET to show there is conditioned dopamine release following amphetamine/environment pairings.

Finally, these researchers use fMRI to look for the neural substrates of goal directed learning (SPOILER ALERT: its the orbitofrontal cortex).
